Kurran Primary School

On Wednesday the 1st of February 2023 I was delighted to join Minister for Education, Natalie Hutchins MP to officially open Kurrun Primary School alongside, Principal Gavan Hughes, teachers, staff, parents, officials and most importantly students.

Level Crossings gone ahead of time

The level crossings at McGregor Road, Main Street and Racecourse Road in Pakenham- all gone, months ahead of schedule. Brunt Road level crossing has also been removed with a new bridge over the railway line. These removals are significant for our community, making our commutes easier.

Kurmile Primary School

With the capacity to cater for up to 650 students, Kurmile Primary School in Officer is now open and welcoming the first group of pupils. Students have access to a great modern learning area which is environmentally sustainable and easy to manage. With Toun-Nun Intergrated Child and Family Centre open next door, parents with kinder aged kids are saved from the double drop off.

Pakenham Station Upgrade

Pakenham Station is now up off the ground and open.

East Pakenham Station

Welcome the newest addition to our trainline, East Pakenham Station.

East Pakenham will see 7200 new homes built in the coming years. This key piece of public transport infrastructure is ready to service our growing community with 300 car spaces, dedicated pick-up and drop-off zone, bike hoops, a Protective Services Officer (PSO) office and landscaped areas, lighting and CCTV cameras. This new station will also improve reliability, allowing metro and regional trains to bypass each other, reducing congestion and delay.

Container Deposit Scheme

Return-it Pakenham had 1.8 million containers returned in the first three months of the scheme, making it one of the most used refund points in the state. Thank you for your contribution to Victoria's target of diverting 80% of all material away from landfill by 2030.

Increased bus services for Pakenham & Officer

$22.6 million has been provided by the Allan Labor Government for new and extended bus services around Pakenham and Officer. Routes 925 and 928 will benefit from this boost.
